Artists are mindful
Artists are mindful. Mindfulness is a form of meditation in which a person can put all other stresses and worries aside and focus on the here and now. Mrs. Murphy's 3rd block Art II's will be practicing mindfulness through a series of meditations at the beginning of each class. These sessions could take anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes depending on the day and the mood of the classroom. The intention of this exercise is to monitor the growth of expression, creativity or skill seen in their art classes.

The Artistic strategy
The artistic mindfulness strategy is focused around guided mediation by focusing on images and using the student's imagination to guide them through the image. The teacher's voice serves as the guide, describing sensory experiences.
